adjust Made in a similar way as a tempered glass

Heat strengthened glass is made in a similar way as a tempered glass. It also gets heated in tempering furnace up to the softening point, but its cooling is made slower and takes a bit longer, compared to tempered glass. As a result, the introduced stresses are lower, so that there is no risk of spontaneous breakage, and if broken, its breakage pattern is similar to float glass. Heat strengthened glass is resistant against thermal stress and is about two times stronger than float glass. Monolithic heat strengthened glass cannot be considered as safety glass, but its properties are highly appropriate for use in laminated glass.
